Data Engineer gone AI preacher
I'm a professional data engineer consultant at Adage who does side gigs as app developer and guest speaker on practical AI and machine learning (ML).
If I speak at your event, I can explain to a non-expert audience how AI and ML works and what it means to your business. For example, how can AI be used for decision support, customer support, demand forecasting or software development? What are the trade-offs and cost? I call this demystified AI.
App Platform
I run this app platform to try out new AI tools for software development. This is my side project space, separate from my consulting work.
Friends and colleagues are welcome to run things here as well with support from me.
Fast app development with AI assistance
Apps are built in hours nowadays
Thanks to AI tools like Claude, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, Zed and others, you can put together a high fidelity prototype in a few hours.
I turn your idea into product
AI may prototype quickly but it lacks your domain knowledge and vision, which is needed to hold the project together and make the right decisions along the way. On its own, AI easily goes off track and produce slop that looks fuzzy and is difficult to maintain. Human software developers still beat machine at translating the vision into the technical language LLMs understands and keep them on track.
I build for free
If you have a good idea, I'm happy to help you with the build and let you run the app from my platform free of charge.
My definition of good:
- Simple is better than complex. The more ambitious the idea, the better it must be for me to see it through, since time is my most precious resource.
- Web is simpler than mobile apps. They also work excellently on mobile devices without installation.
- Minimal maintenance. I want to build many apps and don't have time for ongoing maintenance, e.g. integrations with other systems that change often.
- Cheap to run. If your app draws a lot of network traffic, RAM, CPU, GPU, etc. you have to help pay for hosting. But at this stage you should consider monetizing it!
You can charge money
My company and platform is fully capable of charging users.
If you want to do this, let's talk pricing strategy and write a contract for how to split expenses and profits.
You don't have to charge money
If you have a fun idea, creative joy is reward enough. I like to tinker together gadgets and miss the youthful free internet where people messed around without followers, likes, and subscription services.
So far, all of my apps are free (but not indefinitely I hope).
